University Administration Support Program Research Management Fellowships

The UASP Fellowship has just launched its call for 2020-2021 applications. The deadline to apply is 3 March 2020. The UASP supports the development of university research management capacity at selected public universities in Africa and Eurasia.  The list of eligible universities are listed on the application and within the flyers.  The institutions that IREX works with are determined by our donor, the Carnegie Corporation of New York.  These universities change every cycle. 

Funded Summer Opportunity

 In 2018, a summer program, the Diverse Intelligences Summer Institute (DISI for short), was launched by Erica Cartmill, a developmental psychologist and anthropologist at UCLA, and Jacob Foster, a computational sociologist, also at UCLA, with generous funding from the Templeton World Charity Foundation.

RIS ITEC Course on Science Diplomacy

RIS (Research and Information System for Developing Countries),   a policy research think tank based in New Delhi is organizing a two-week course on Science Diplomacy, under ITEC Program sponsored by Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India. RIS has been organizing this course since 2017. The Course will commence on 6th January 2020 (Monday) and will end on 17th January 2020 (Friday).

Call for Applications for the Carnegie-Funded Early Career Academics

Makerere University received a grant from the Carnegie Corporation of New York aimed at Supporting Early-Career Academics at Makerere University (SECA). This two-year grant will focus on enhancing the research capacity of Makerere University staff by providing research fellowships to 15 early-career academics, tenable at Makerere University, awarded on a competitive basis, to begin by 2020.
