INSEAD Andrew Hordern Endowed Scholarship - '91D

The Class of MBA'91D created this endowed scholarship in memory of their classmate Andrew Hordern. Andrew was one of the “sparks” of '91D. He was generous, kind, open to all, helped many, and had a sense of humor that pervaded the whole class. The class continues to make regular donations to their endowment, especially during their class reunions, which has enabled it to grow over the years.

INSEAD Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff)

This scholarship is an endowed gift to INSEAD from the Ryoichi Sasakawa Young Leaders Fellowship Fund (Sylff). The Fund was established in 1987 by the Nippon Foundation. The Sylff programme demonstrates its commitment to education through awarding fellowships to promising graduate students in the social sciences and humanities. 69 universities and consortia worldwide, including INSEAD, have received endowments of US $1 million. The Sylff programme is now building a worldwide community of young leaders made up of the Sylff Fellows at all funded institutions.

INSEAD Bischoff Family Endowed Scholarship

The Bischoff Family has established an endowed scholarship to support future participants from southern Africa and South-East Asia who demonstrate both merit and financial need. The family has a long-standing relationship with INSEAD and strong links to both of these regions: Sir Win Bischoff attended the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa and has worked extensively in South-East Asia; Christopher Bischoff (MBA '00D) and his brother Charles were both born in Hong Kong and have worked in the region.

INSEAD Robin Hood Scholarship

It is a tradition at INSEAD that each MBA Class fundraises to become the invisible hands to admitted candidates with financial burdens. The INSEAD Robin Hood MBA Scholarship Fund was created to provide financial support from peers to a deserving MBA student in each Class. The award is granted to a candidate who demonstrates critical difficulty in raising sufficient funds for the year at INSEAD. Each recipient must take an active part in their own class on-campus fundraising appeal and to drive the initiative amongst his/her own classmates.

INSEAD Henriette and Norbert Albin Endowed MBA Scholarship Fund

Norbert Albin MBA’87D and his wife Henriette made a significant donation to INSEAD to create The Henriette and Norbert Albin Endowed MBA Scholarship Fund. The Fund supports talented students from diverse nationalities and backgrounds. Norbert and Henriette have fond memories of their time in Fontainebleau during Norbert’s MBA studies, an experience that changed their lives and motivated them to establish this scholarship.
