Wellcome Trust grant: Research Enrichment in Public Engagement

This Wellcome Trust grant has been made available to facilitate researchers engage the public with their research. Researchers share their ideas with the public and in return get new perspectives on their research and can inspire learning, enhance research and help to improve health. The opportunity gives researchers public engagement funding of level that's justifiable for the scale and scope of their study and proposed public engagement program. The enrichment funding will end at the same time as your central Wellcome grant.
Eligibility
Applicants must be a current Wellcome-funded grant holder who is a lead applicant in one of our eligible schemes or a new applicant to one of our suitable projects.
Funds can only be used for dedicated, salaried posts and where justified, other personnel costs directly related to the programme, including salary replacement, e.g. teaching staff, consultancy costs and project management fees, direct activity and production costs, including venue costs, equipment, and materials, relevant public engagement training and development for you and any staff employed on your grant, travel costs

The program and activities supported can take many forms, such as exhibitions, community festivals and work with artists.
