Position as Postdoctoral Research Fellowship available in Algebraic Geometry to be based at the Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Oslo. The appointment is a full-time position for a period of two years and is to begin no later than November 1st, 2021. They seek candidates whose research interests enhance and complement the research group in algebraic geometry. The main purpose of a postdoctoral fellowship is to provide the candidates with enhanced skills to pursue a scientific top position within or beyond academia. To promote a strategic career path, all postdoctoral research fellows are required to submit a professional development plan no later than one month after the commencement of the postdoctoral period.
Eligibility

• Applicants must hold a degree equivalent to a Norwegian doctoral degree in algebraic geometry. The doctoral dissertation must be submitted for evaluation by the closing date. The appointment is dependent on the completed defense of the doctoral thesis being approved.
• Candidates must demonstrate a research track record in the fields of complex, tropical, or real algebraic geometry.
• Fluent oral and written communication skills in English.

The fellows will receive a salary NOK 526 000 – 608 200 per annum depending on qualifications in position as Postdoctoral Research Fellow (position code 1352),a professionally stimulating working environment, and a vibrant international academic environment
