The XPRIZE Carbon Removal is aimed at tackling the biggest threat facing humanity, which is fighting climate change and rebalancing Earth’s carbon cycle. The Alliance for Health Policy and Systems Research is leading the development of a series of analytical country case studies to better understand the political economy factors that contribute to advancing the implementation of health taxes. This programme carried out in collaboration with the Inter-Agency Working Group and the WHO Working Group on Health Taxes and focuses its attention on examining how political economy factors have influenced the design, adoption and implementation of health taxes.
